Job Description – Retail Sales Executive Location: Madhavaiah Furnitures, Nellore Role Type: Full-time Experience: 1–4 years in retail sales (furniture or home décor preferred) Qualification: Any graduate / intermediate with strong communication skills About Madhavaiah Furnitures Madhavaiah Furnitures is a renowned and trusted name in the Andhra Pradesh furniture industry, known for its premium craftsmanship, modern designs, and customer-first service. The Retail Sales Executive will be the front-facing representative of the brand at the Nellore showroom, ensuring customers have a smooth, informed, and delightful buying experience. Role Overview The Retail Sales Executive is responsible for greeting customers, understanding their furniture needs, recommending suitable products, explaining features, and closing sales. The role requires strong communication, product knowledge, and a service-oriented mindset. Key Responsibilities Customer Engagement & Sales Welcome customers warmly and understand their requirements, budget, and space constraints. Explain product features, materials, durability, warranties, pricing, and customization options. Provide recommendations based on customer needs (living room, bedroom, office, modular kitchen, etc.). Assist customers in comparing products and making confident purchasing decisions. Take customers through catalogues, swatches, fabric options, and modular layouts. Product Knowledge & Presentation Maintain thorough knowledge of all furniture items, materials (teak, MDF, ply, metal, etc.), upholstery, ergonomic features, and current offers. Ensure the showroom floor is well-organised, clean, and visually appealing. Update displays and highlight new arrivals. Sales Process & Documentation Prepare quotations, invoices, and sales orders accurately. Coordinate with the billing, delivery, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth order processing. Follow up with customers for payments, delivery schedules, and post-sales support. Customer Service & Relationship Building Provide exceptional service before and after the sale. Address queries, concerns, or complaints with professionalism and empathy. Build long-term trust with customers to encourage repeat visits and referrals. Targets & Reporting Achieve monthly sales targets set by the showroom manager. Maintain daily customer visit logs, enquiry reports, and sales conversions. Share customer insights and feedback with the management team. Skills & Qualifications 1–4 years of experience in showroom sales (furniture/home décor/appliances preferred). Strong communication skills in Telugu, English, and Hindi (optional). Good persuasion and negotiation skills. Ability to understand customer needs and recommend suitable products. Basic computer skills (billing software, MS Office, CRM entry). Personal Qualities Presentable, polite, and confident. Customer-focused attitude. Patience and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a team and handle peak showroom hours. Work Timings Standard showroom hours (morning to evening shift). Weekly off as per store schedule.
