Job Description

Job Title: Sales Manager Location: [Gurgaon] Department: Sales & Business Development Reports to: Head of Sales / Director of Business Development Job Summary: We are looking for a results-driven Sales Manager to take ownership of business development and sales operations across government e-marketplaces (GEM), corporate websites, and various e-commerce platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of online sales strategies, portal management, and B2B/B2G business models. You will be responsible for achieving revenue targets, improving online visibility, and driving growth through digital channels. Key Responsibilities: 1. Government Portals (e.g., GEM): Manage product listings, tender submissions, and bidding processes. Monitor RFPs, RFQs, and tenders relevant to the company’s products/services. Ensure timely documentation and compliance with government procurement policies. Build strong relationships with procurement officers and stakeholders. 2. Corporate Websites: Oversee sales inquiries and conversions generated through the company’s website. Collaborate with the digital marketing team to enhance SEO/SEM and lead generation. Track visitor behavior, improve the customer journey, and optimize conversion rates. Generate regular performance reports and suggest site improvements to increase sales. 3. E-Commerce Platforms: Manage listings and performance on third-party e-commerce websites (e.g., Amazon, Flipkart, Industry-specific B2B portals). Coordinate with inventory, operations, and logistics teams to ensure order fulfillment. Analyze sales data, trends, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities. Drive promotional campaigns, pricing strategies, and product visibility efforts. 4. Strategy & Team Collaboration: Develop and execute sales plans aligned with company targets. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and platform performance. Coordinate with cross-functional teams including marketing, operations, and customer service to ensure smooth execution. Prepare periodic business reports for senior management with insights and recommendations. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred). 3+ years of experience in B2B/B2G sales, preferably with experience on GEM, e-commerce, or corporate portals. Strong knowledge of digital sales strategies and government procurement norms. Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and sales CRM tools; familiarity with online portal backbends. Preferred Skills: Experience in handling GEM portal end-to-end (from vendor registration to order fulfillment). Familiarity with managing listings and optimizing content on e-commerce platforms. Understanding of digital marketing tools and performance analytics.
