Job Description

The Sales Manager – Resort Sales is responsible for driving revenue through the sale of rooms, banquets, conferences, weddings, and day outing packages. The role involves managing corporate and social accounts, developing new business opportunities, and leading client relationships to maximize the resort’s profitability and brand presence.



Key Responsibilities:


1. Business Development

• Identify, develop, and manage new business accounts from corporate, MICE, travel trade, and social event segments.

• Plan and execute sales strategies to achieve or exceed monthly and annual revenue targets.

• Conduct regular sales calls, client meetings, and property visits to maintain strong business relationships.

• Expand the resort’s reach through networking, trade fairs, and promotional events.


2. Account Management

• Maintain and grow relationships with key corporate and travel accounts.

• Manage contracting and rate negotiations for both new and existing clients.

• Ensure repeat business through consistent follow-up and client engagement.


3. Sales Operations

• Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to management.

• Work closely with the Reservations, Banquets, and Operations teams to ensure flawless execution of confirmed business.

• Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and promotions to adjust strategies accordingly.

• Ensure all client details, leads, and follow-ups are accurately maintained in the CRM system.


4. Team Collaboration

• Support and guide junior sales executives in achieving their sales goals.

• Coordinate with the marketing team for promotional campaigns, online presence, and event activations.

• Contribute ideas to improve sales productivity and enhance guest experience.


5. Guest & Client Experience

• Personally handle VIP, corporate, and high-value clients.

• Follow up post-events or stays to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.



Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hotel Management, Business Administration, or Marketing.

• 3–4 years of experience in resort or hotel sales (with proven track record in corporate and MICE segments).

• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

• Excellent relationship-building and networking abilities.

• Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and sales reporting.

• Ability to lead sales initiatives independently and work under pressure.

• Well-groomed, confident, and target-oriented professional attitude.



Preferred Experience (for resort environment):

• Exposure to banquet and event sales, corporate day outings, and destination weddings.

• Experience in handling corporate clients, travel agents, and event planners.

• Knowledge of the local Bangalore and South India hospitality market.
