Job Summary:

General Manager – Sales

The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of proven sales experience, preferably in the adhesives, chemicals, or construction materials industry. This role involves setting sales strategies, managing teams, developing markets, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve company targets and expand market share.
• Lead, manage, and mentor regional and national sales teams to drive performance and accountability.
• Identify new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and untapped markets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and stakeholders.
• Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform product positioning and pricing strategies.
• Collaborate with marketing, production, and R&D to align sales goals with product development and promotional campaigns.
• Forecast sales volumes and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reports for senior management.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and handle major client escalations effectively.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
• Experience in the adhesives, chemicals, or related industrial product sector is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel extensively as required.
