Sales Manager – Industrial Battery Division

Reporting To: Director – Sales & Operations
Experience Required: 5 to 8+ years
Qualification: BE/B.Tech (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical preferred)
Location: Kandivali East, Mumbai (Onsite role)
Compensation: 10–15 LPA plus performance-based incentives
Industry Domain: Industrial batteries, OEM supply, automotive batteries, customized energy systems, industrial B2B solutions

Role Overview

The Sales Manager will be responsible for leading business development, managing key accounts, and driving revenue growth. This role requires a balance of technical understanding, customer engagement, strategic sales execution, and team leadership.
Reporting To: Director – Sales & Operations
Experience Required: 5 to 8+ years

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead sales and business development for OEMs, industrial clients, and distributors
  • Manage the complete sales lifecycle including prospecting, meetings, proposals, technical discussions, negotiations, and closures
  • Identify market opportunities, develop sales funnels, and maintain updated intelligence on competitors and technology trends
  • Engage directly with senior-level decision makers and strategic customers
  • Understand customer technical requirements and coordinate with production and engineering teams to deliver the right solution
  • Prepare proposals, review offers, ensure timely submission, and follow through until closure
  • Participate in exhibitions, client visits, trade networking events, and international/domestic travel as required
  • Maintain CRM, MIS, sales dashboards, forecasts, and performance reports
  • Support internal teams post-order for smooth execution and customer satisfaction
  • Mentor junior sales team members and contribute to capability building across the department

Skills and Competencies Required

  • Strong understanding of battery technology, industrial power systems, or similar engineered products
  • Proven track record in achieving B2B n B2C sales targets in a technical or industrial environment
  • Ability to develop long-term client relationships and build partnerships
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation capability
  • Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, and presentation
  • Strategic problem-solving mindset with execution discipline
  • Willingness to travel as required for client meetings and industry events
