Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Sales Executive/Manager – Modern Trade with a strong background in FMCG, Nutraceuticals, or Ayurvedic products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies within the modern trade channel, handling key accounts, driving volume growth, and ensuring brand visibility across major retail chains and organized retail platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage strong business relationships with key modern trade accounts such as Reliance Retail, DMart, Spencer’s, Apollo Pharmacy, Wellness Forever, and other organized retail formats.
  • Drive secondary and tertiary sales through strategic planning, execution, and coordination with distributors and retailers.
  • Negotiate terms of trade, margin structures, and in-store promotions with modern trade partners.
  • Ensure brand visibility, planogram compliance, and product availability across all listed stores.
  • Coordinate new product launches, sampling campaigns, and category-building activities within modern trade outlets.
  • Track sales performance, consumer trends, and competitor activity to identify business growth opportunities.
  • Work closely with internal teams (marketing, supply chain, merchandising) to streamline operations and enhance store-level execution.
  • Lead, train, and monitor promoters and merchandisers to drive sales and customer engagement at POS.
  • Prepare periodic sales reports, forecasts, and account performance reviews.

Requirements:

  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in Modern Trade Sales within FMCG, Nutraceutical, or Ayurvedic product categories.
  • Strong understanding of the modern retail ecosystem, especially for wellness and health-related products.
  • Proven success in managing modern trade accounts and achieving revenue targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and familiarity with basic sales analytics.
  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, or Life Sciences preferred.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Deep passion for health, wellness, and Ayurvedic/natural living.
  • Experience in launching health supplements or Ayurvedic formulations in modern trade.
  • Ability to multitask, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and work independently.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong result orientation.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
