Job Description

Position: Sales Specialist/Executive Location: Head Office – Dahisar, Mumbai Department: Sales & Business Development Experience Required: 3–6 Years Role Overview: We are seeking a motivated Sales Specialist with experience in the shipping industry to drive business growth and build strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of shipping services, freight forwarding, and customer requirements, complemented by excellent communication and negotiation skills. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and implement sales strategies to expand the company’s customer base in the shipping industry. • Generate new business leads through market research, networking, and cold calling. • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay informed on industry trends, pricing, and market conditions. • Prepare and present detailed sales reports, forecasts, and budgets to senior management. • Timely preparation of quotations and Sales orders. • Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and quotations to prospective clients. • Manage and grow relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business. • Negotiate contracts, freight rates, and service agreements with customers. • Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth service delivery. • Track sales performance, prepare reports, and forecast revenue growth. • Stay updated on market trends, competitors, and shipping industry developments. • Represent the company at trade fairs, exhibitions, and industry networking events. Required Skills & Competencies: • Proven sales experience, preferably in shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics. • Strong knowledge of shipping documentation, freight rates, and trade routes. • Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and presentation skills. • Ability to build long-term customer relationships. • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools. • Target-driven mindset with strong problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, or related field. • 3–5 years of proven sales/business development experience, preferably in shipping/logistics. • Fluency in English (additional languages will be an advantage).
