Sales Engineer (Independent Contractor) - Amritsar, Punjab, India

We are seeking a motivated Junior Sales Engineer to join our dynamic sales team to support the launch and ongoing sales campaign for an innovative media subscription app. This role combines technical knowledge with aggressive sales execution across digital and offline channels.

Location: Amritsar, Punjab, India (must be locally based)

Employment Type: Full-time.

Key Responsibilities.

  • Execute a high-intensity sales campaign running from November 7 to December 19, focused on securing paid subscriptions for our media streaming product.
  • Conduct cold calling, hot sales, advertising sales, and sell media membership subscriptions (newspapers, journals, radio, TV, SVOD, FAST, or other cultural/media products).
  • Efficiently manage daily sales activities divided between digital outreach in the mornings and offline experiential activation in the afternoons.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing and activation teams to create and use content for social media and guerrilla marketing.
  • Track and meet daily subscription goals (64-72 conversions/day) through strategic engagement and optimized sales processes.
  • Assist with managing offline sales events in colleges, cafes, and metro stations, integrating QR code promotions and direct sign-ups.

Prerequisites:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering (must present BA certificate at interview; email a scanned copy upon application).
  • Formal sales training certification.
  • Proven track record with at least 1 year of experience in cold calling sales, hot sales, advertising sales, and media membership sales.
  • Must be local to Amritsar, Punjab.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a high-velocity environment.
  • Familiarity with Subscription Video-on-Demand (SVOD) and Free-Ad-Support Streaming Television (FAST) platforms is a plus.
