Role Overview

Sales & Business Development Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Sales & Revenue Growth

    • Develop and execute sales strategies targeting major sectors: automotive, e-mobility, electrical goods, furniture, telecom, consumer appliances, agriculture, and defense.
    • Achieve ambitious sales targets and expand the client base across Pan-India.
  • Pipeline Management & Business Development

    • Identify and nurture high-potential opportunities, manage the sales funnel, and convert leads into strategic accounts.
    • Develop long-term relationships with OEMs, tier suppliers, and key distributors.
  • Product Expertise & Solution Selling

    • Deep understanding of core product rangesuch as Nylon-6 and Nylon-66 (both unfilled and filled grades, flame-retardant, glass/mineral composites), and PBT variants (unfilled, filled, flame-retardant).
    • Demonstrate how these compounds enhance durability, performance, and cost-efficiency for customers.
  • Client Engagement & Technical Collaboration

    • Serve as a trusted advisor in collaborative product development and technical problem-solving.
    • Coordinate with internal teams (R&D, compounding, production) to deliver tailored polymer solutions within strict timelines and budgets.
  • Market Expansion & Competitive Analysis

    • Perform market research to track trends, competitor movements, and customer demand.
    • Explore new regional corridors, strategic

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Polymer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent
  • 10+ years experience in sales/business development within plastic/polymer compounds (especially Nylon/PBT)
  • Proven ability to manage large accounts and close complex deals Pan-India
  • Strong technical acumen in compounding, additives, material performance
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
  • Willingness to travel extensively

Preferred/Desirable

  • Exposure to IATF 16949 or automotive-specific quality standards
  • Established network in automotive, appliances, or engineering sectors
  • Experience with OEMs and tier suppliers
  • Experience launching new polymer products or segments
  • Prior experience with German compounding technologies or global vendors
  • Multilingual abilities for outreach in key states
