Position: Sales and Marketing Executive - Sustainability and ESG

Location: Chennai - Onsite

Salary Budget: 4 - 7 LPA

Experience: 2+ Years

Payroll: Direct Client

About the Position:

We are seeking a dynamic Sales & Marketing Executive to drive lead generation, manage a strong prospect pipeline, and support end-to-end sales and marketing activities. The role includes executing digital campaigns (email, SEO/SEM), coordinating with internal teams for aligned outreach, and representing the company at events to build visibility and partnerships. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain a robust database of prospects; engage through cold and warm calling, email outreach, and LinkedIn/social selling.
  • Create, maintain, and update the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate tracking of prospects through each funnel stage.
  • Design and manage sales and marketing dashboards, recording every activity for transparency and accountability.
  • Plan and execute targeted email marketing campaigns for lead nurturing and event promotions; monitor campaign performance.
  • Develop and implement SEO and SEM strategies to drive qualified traffic, improve search rankings, and support lead generation goals.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (marketing, sales, leadership) to align on goals, messaging, and ongoing campaigns.
  • Coordinate daily sync-ups with team members to review sales pipeline progress, prioritize leads, and update action items.
  • Document meetings through detailed minutes, proactively follow up, and ensure timely execution of agreed actions across internal and external parties.
  • Research, track, and share updates on the latest ESG and sustainability news, trends, and opportunities relevant to our industry.
  • Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and forums to build partnerships, generate leads, and promote the brand.
  • Nurture relationships with key industry associations, chambers, and partners to unlock collaboration and sponsorship opportunities.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in sales, business development, or digital marketing.
  • Hands-on experience in building pipelines, managing CRM tools, and conducting inside/outside sales.
  • Proven skills in email marketing, SEO, SEM, and digital lead generation.
  • Exposure to environmental studies or sustainability is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong ability to engage and build relationships.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and proactive; comfortable working in a dynamic startup environment.
