Safety Manager

As a Safety Officer, your role involves developing and implementing safety plans tailored to interior projects. This includes creating thorough safety protocols, outlining task-specific procedures, and ensuring compliance among all personnel. Your key responsibilities will include: - Conducting risk assessments to identify potential hazards in design and construction plans. You will assess the likelihood and severity of risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize potential harm. - Ensuring compliance with relevant safety regulations such as OSHA standards, building codes, and fire safety regulations. You will stay updated on any changes in these regulations. - Conducting safety training sessions for project teams and contractors on safety procedures, hazard identification, and emergency response. It is crucial to ensure that everyone understands their roles and responsibilities in maintaining a safe environment. - Monitoring and inspecting the project site, equipment, and materials regularly to identify potential hazards, ensure compliance with safety standards, and take corrective actions when necessary. - Managing incidents by investigating accidents, near-misses, and other safety incidents. You will analyze the root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. - Maintaining accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, incident reports, and other relevant documentation. - Promoting a positive safety culture among all project stakeholders by fostering open communication about safety concerns and encouraging a proactive approach to safety management. - Collaborating closely with project managers, architects, designers, and other stakeholders to integrate safety considerations into the design and construction process. Additionally, the company values your experience in interior projects and handling interior fit-out projects. Knowledge of the National Building Code (NBC) is also preferred.
