Job Description Safety Manager Position: Safety Manager Department: Health & Safety Location: Tarapur Reports To: Plant Head Role Purpose To ensure a safe, compliant, and incident-free environment across all manufacturing operations—spinning, weaving, dyeing, printing, finishing, utilities, and warehousing—through effective implementation of safety systems and statutory compliance. Key Responsibilities Safety Compliance & Systems Ensure compliance with the Factories Act, Fire Safety norms, PCB requirements, and other statutory regulations. Experience in handling customer audits Maintain all safety documentation: HIRA, JSA, MSDS, permits, audit records. Risk Management Conduct safety inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments across production floors. Implement control measures for high-risk areas such as chemical handling, boilers, stenters, and material movement. Fire & Emergency Preparedness Manage fire protection systems (hydrants, sprinklers, pumps, alarms). Conduct fire/evacuation drills and maintain emergency response procedures. Training & Awareness Conduct employee and contractor training on PPE, machine safety, chemical handling, LOTO, and first aid. Drive safety culture through toolbox talks and awareness campaigns.
