Description
Role: Ruby Developer/Lead Type : Fulltime Experience: 3+ years Location : Remote & 1 week training in Pune after clearing the interview Job Description: Job Summary: We are looking for experienced Ruby/JRuby Developers and a Lead Developer to join a high-performing Supplier Team supporting the ESG business. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality features and functionalities for internal production and client-facing platforms. This role involves deep backend development, system design, DevOps integration, and cross-functional collaboration. Responsibilities: Deliver scalable, high-quality code to enhance internal and client delivery platforms. Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Terraform. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance and infrastructure. Collaborate with QA, Business Stakeholders, Data Ops, and Infrastructure teams throughout the SDLC. Encourage innovation, uphold coding best practices, and contribute to architectural decisions. Technology Stack: Backend: Primary Language: JRuby (v9.3.5) Templating: HTML (ERB) Other Languages: Python (3.5), Java (Spring Boot – peripheral) Frameworks: Flask / FastAPI (Python) Frontend/UI: ExtJS (Legacy UI framework) HighchartsJS (Data visualization) Databases: Oracle DB (Primary) PostgreSQL Redis (Python components) Cloud & DevOps: Azure Services (AKS, Service Bus, Key Vault, App Configuration, Pipelines, Log Analytics) Terraform (IaC) KEDA (Event-driven scaling) Required Skills & Qualifications: For Developer Roles (3–5 Years): 2+ years of hands-on experience with Ruby or JRuby Strong understanding of OOP and design patterns Solid knowledge of relational databases (Oracle 12c preferred), plus exposure to NoSQL/Redis Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Azure DevOps) For Lead Developer Role (10+ Years): 5+ years of experience with Ruby or JRuby, and 10+ years of overall software development Proven leadership in guiding full-stack teams and delivering scalable solutions Strong architectural mindset with expertise in scalable design and deployment Cloud-native development experience on Azure (or AWS/GCP) Preferred Skills: Experience with Python for tools like data validation Exposure to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and event-driven architecture with KEDA Familiarity with legacy UI frameworks like ExtJS Understanding of ESG business platforms and data handling Show more Show less
