Rubber Technologist

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Development: Develop rubber products with new polymer and improve existing ones to meet customer requirements and industry standards.

2. Production Planning: Plan and coordinate production schedules, material requirements, and labor allocation to ensure efficient production.

3. Quality Control: Ensure that all products meet quality standards by implementing quality control measures and conducting regular inspections.

4. Material Selection: Select and procure suitable materials for production, considering factors such as cost, quality, and availability.

5. Process Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize production processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.

6. Troubleshooting : Identify and resolve production issues like eliminating defects, time delays, or machinery malfunctions.

7. Collaboration : Work closely with other departments like sales, production, marketing, and research and development departmentsto ensure that products meet customer needs and industry trends.

8. Documentation : Maintain accurate records of production, quality control, and material usage.

Technical Skills

1. Rubber technology : In-depth knowledge of rubber chemistry, physics, and technology.

2. Material science: Evaluation of Compound properties conforming IS or other relevant standards with respect to selection, and application. Knowledge of handling various analytical apparatus/instruments in Technical Laboratory.

3. Production planning : Familiarity with production planning software and techniques.

4. Quality control : Knowledge of quality control methods and standards like ISO 9001, IATF 16949, as well as Statistical Data Analysis, Defect analysis through Ishikawa methods are necessary.

5. Troubleshooting : Ability to analyze and resolve production issues.

1. Communication : Effective communication with production staff, management, and customers.2. Teamwork : Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and teams.

3. Problem-solving : Strong problem-solving skills to resolve production issues.

 Education and Experience

1. Degree in Rubber Technology : Bachelor's or master's degree in rubber technology, materials science, or a related field.

2. Experience in rubber industry : Minimum 2-5 years of experience in the rubber industry, preferably in a similar role.
