Job Purpose

The Route Leader will be responsible for leading and supervising cash movement operations on assigned routes, ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and client requirements. The role involves managing route staff, coordinating logistics, maintaining operational accuracy, and ensuring effective communication and reporting through advanced use of MS Excel.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage daily cash movement routes to ensure timely completion of client requirements.
• Supervise and guide route staff including custodians, security guards, and drivers.
• Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, safety protocols, and compliance standards during cash handling and transit.
• Monitor cash loading/unloading, reconciliation, and documentation to prevent discrepancies.
• Maintain route-wise checks & balances to ensure operational accuracy and accountability.
• Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and management for smooth operations.
• Utilize MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulas, MIS reports) for route data tracking, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Act as the first point of contact for route staff and escalate issues to management when required.
• Train and mentor team members on operational protocols, compliance, and security awareness.
• Prepare and submit daily route reports, incident logs, and performance metrics.
  

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of cash handling procedures, route planning, and operational safety
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, lookups, conditional formulas, data validation, MIS reporting).
• Leadership skills with ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Detail-oriented with strong accountability and integrity.
• Ability to handle pressure and resolve on-ground operational challenges quickly.
  

Qualification & Experience

• Graduate/Undergraduate with relevant experience.
• 58 years of experience in operations/security/cash management services, with at least 23 years in a supervisory/lead role.
• Prior experience in logistics, security services, or cash-in-transit operations preferred.
