Retail Store Manager

Job Description:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to oversee daily operations at our retail grocery / Kirana store. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in FMCG retail, with hands-on experience in managing inventory, staff, and customer relations in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:Store Operations Management: Oversee daily operations including sales, stock management, cleanliness, and overall store maintenance. Team Leadership: Manage, train, and motivate store staff to ensure high performance and customer satisfaction. Inventory & Stock Control: Maintain optimal inventory levels; manage stock replenishment and avoid stockouts or overstocking. Customer Service: Ensure excellent customer service is delivered consistently and handle any escalations or complaints efficiently. Sales & Profitability: Drive sales through effective merchandising, promotions, and upselling. Meet or exceed monthly sales targets. Vendor Management: Coordinate with FMCG suppliers/distributors for timely deliveries, credit terms, and promotional activities. Cash & Billing Management: Oversee billing accuracy, daily cash reconciliation, and POS machine handling. Compliance & Safety: Ensure store complies with local laws, hygiene, and safety regulations. Key Requirements:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Retail Management / Business / Commerce. 3+ years of experience in FMCG retail, supermarket, or Kirana store operations. Strong leadership and team management skills. Familiarity with billing software, POS systems, and basic Excel. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment. Local language proficiency is a plus.
