Restaurant Maintenance Manager

Job Summary : The Restaurant Maintenance/Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations and ensuring that all restaurant equipment, infrastructure, and facilities are well-maintained. This role supports the Restaurant Manager in delivering a seamless guest experience through operational efficiency and upkeep of the premises. Key Responsibilities : Operations Support : Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily front-of-house and back-of-house operations. Supervise staff scheduling, performance, and compliance with SOPs. Ensure smooth opening and closing of the restaurant. Address guest issues and resolve complaints efficiently. Maintenance & Upkeep : Conduct daily inspections of kitchen equipment, dining area, washrooms, AC units, electricals, and plumbing. Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules. Maintain service logs and coordinate with vendors or technicians for urgent repairs. Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety compliance as per FSSAI/local body regulations. Vendor and Inventory Management : Coordinate with suppliers for maintenance materials and tools. Monitor inventory levels of maintenance supplies. Manage AMC contracts for equipment like HVAC, pest control, fire safety, etc. Reporting & Compliance : Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, costs, and schedules. Support audits and ensure regulatory compliance in hygiene and safety. Assist in budgeting for repairs and maintenance expenses. Qualifications & Skills : Graduate or Diploma in Hospitality Management/Facilities Management preferred. 2–5 years of experience in restaurant operations and/or maintenance. Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems (basic troubleshooting). Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team-handling skills. Familiarity with maintenance tracking software or POS systems is a plus.
