Job Description

A restaurant hostess is the first point of contact for guests. Their main role is to create a welcoming atmosphere, manage seating arrangements, and ensure smooth front-of-house operations. Key Responsibilities Greet guests warmly as they arrive Manage reservations and maintain a waitlist Escort guests to their tables and provide menus Communicate wait times and seating availability Answer phone calls and handle take-out or reservation inquiries Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to optimize table turnover Maintain cleanliness and organization of the entrance and hostess station Handle guest complaints or refer them to a manager when needed Skills & Qualifications Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Friendly, professional demeanor Familiarity with reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable) Ability to stay calm under pressure High school diploma or equivalent (hospitality training is a plus) Work Environment Fast-paced, customer-facing role Often involves evening, weekend, and holiday shifts

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From ₹16,000.00 per month
