Restaurant Hostess

The Hostess is the first point of contact for all guests at Curry & Hops. This role is responsible for creating a warm, welcoming, and professional first impression, managing reservations and waitlists, and ensuring smooth guest flow throughout the restaurant and microbrewery. The Hostess plays an essential part in delivering the unique Curry & Hops experience through exceptional guest engagement, clear communication, and efficient seating management.

Key Responsibilities Guest Experience & Greeting

• Welcome guests with a warm smile and friendly attitude as soon as they enter.
• Provide accurate wait times and manage expectations during busy periods.
• Escort guests to their tables and introduce them to their server when needed.
• Maintain a professional, upbeat, and hospitable demeanor at all times.

Reservation & Waitlist Management

• Handle phone calls, WhatsApp inquiries, and online reservations.
• Manage the waitlist during peak hours using the restaurant’s reservation system (or manual waitlist if required).
• Coordinate table turns efficiently to minimize wait times.

Seating & Floor Coordination

• Maintain an organized and updated seating chart.
• Ensure a balanced rotation among servers to support efficient service.
• Communicate with servers and managers about large groups, special requests, or VIP guests.
• Assist in preparing tables and ensuring the entrance, lobby, and waiting areas remain clean and inviting.

Guest Communication

• Answer guest questions about the menu, microbrewery beers, promotions, and events.
• Inform guests about current wait times, offers, and upcoming brewery releases.
• Handle guest complaints politely and escalate immediately to the manager when required.

Operational Support

• Assist in opening and closing duties related to the host stand and front entrance area.
• Maintain menus, promotional materials, and signage at the host desk.
• Follow all hygiene, grooming, and safety standards of Curry & Hops.

Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Hostess, Front Desk Associate, or Guest Relations preferred (not mandatory).
• Excellent communication skills in English, Hindi, and Punjabi.
• Strong customer service and people-handling skills.
• Ability to stay calm and organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional grooming and confident body language.
• Basic knowledge of restaurants, craft beers, or hospitality (training will be provided).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹32,000.00 per month
