Job Description

Join as a Research Intern at Acrophase!

Are you passionate about sports science, human performance, and biomedical research?

Acrophase at IIT Madras is inviting motivated and research-oriented interns to work on cutting-edge projects at the intersection of athlete monitoring, wearable sensors, and data-driven physiology.

Position: Research Intern

Location: IIT Madras, Chennai

Duration: 3-6 months internship

What you'll do?

Work closely with our multidisciplinary team on real-world datasets involving elite athletes.
Assist in data collection, processing, and analysis from physiological tests.
Contribute to experimental design and protocol implementation for athlete performance studies.
Perform literature reviews and prepare research summaries.
Support in report writing, visualization, and presentations.
Collaborate with the team on manuscript preparation for scientific publications.

What are we looking for?

Background in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
Basic knowledge of human physiology and sports performance concepts.
Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Python, MATLAB, or R).
Strong research and analytical skills.
Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with scientific writing skills

The candidate will also be considered for potential conversion to an MS in Electrical Engineering at IIT Madras based on performance.
