Are you passionate about sports science, human performance, and biomedical research?

Acrophase at IIT Madras is inviting motivated and research-oriented interns to work on cutting-edge projects at the intersection of athlete monitoring, wearable sensors, and data-driven physiology. 


Position: Research Intern

Location: IIT Madras, Chennai

Duration: 3-6 months internship


What you'll do?

  • Work closely with our multidisciplinary team on real-world datasets involving elite athletes.
  • Assist in data collection, processing, and analysis from physiological tests.
  • Contribute to experimental design and protocol implementation for athlete performance studies.
  • Perform literature reviews and prepare research summaries.
  • Support in report writing, visualization, and presentations.
  • Collaborate with the team on manuscript preparation for scientific publications.


What are we looking for?

  • Background in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of human physiology and sports performance concepts.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Python, MATLAB, or R).
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with scientific writing skills


The candidate will also be considered for potential conversion to an MS in Electrical Engineering at IIT Madras based on performance.
