Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and organised Athlete Relations & Outreach Coordinator to lead grassroots outreach, onboarding, and ongoing engagement for our Para Sports Scholarship Program . This role is ideal for someone who is deeply committed to inclusive sports and enjoys working directly with athletes, coaches, and institutions across India. Key Responsibilities: 1. Outreach & Recruitment: Identify and build relationships with sports academies and training centres that support para athletes across India. Conduct outreach campaigns to encourage eligible para athletes to apply for the scholarship. Coordinate with coaches, parents, and sports administrators to guide them through the application process. 2. Athlete Onboarding: Assist selected athletes with completing documentation and onboarding formalities. Serve as the primary point of contact for athletes and their families during the onboarding phase. 3. Relationship Management: Provide continuous support to athletes, coaches, and parents by addressing queries and resolving issues promptly. Build trusted relationships with scholarship recipients to ensure long-term engagement. 4. Progress Monitoring & Reporting: Maintain regular communication with athletes to track their performance, training milestones, and challenges. Collaborate with coaches and academies to gather structured performance data. Compile and submit quarterly progress reports on each athlete’s development and program impact. 5. Program Support: Coordinate logistics for any athlete assessments, events, or review sessions. Work closely with the program management team to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Social Work, Education, or a related field. 1–3 years of experience in athlete support, program coordination, or community outreach. Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English and Hindi. Comfortable with field visits, phone/video interactions, and basic data reporting tools (Excel, Google Sheets, etc.).

Position: Research Intern Location: IIT Madras, Chennai Duration: 3-6 months internship What you'll do? Work closely with our multidisciplinary team on real-world datasets involving elite athletes. About the Role We are conducting an exploratory research project at the intersection of bioinformatics, statistical genetics, and sports science. The aim is to design and prototype computational workflows that can analyze genomic datasets and generate pilot research outputs. As a Research Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in: Curating and prioritizing genetic variants from public resources such as Ensembl, NCBI, and GWAS Catalog. Building small-scale pipelines for processing sequencing/genotyping data. Developing basic trait-related scoring methods (polygenic indices, QC metrics) in a research-only context. Prototyping lightweight reporting frameworks to present exploratory results with appropriate disclaimers. Responsibilities Data curation & evidence review (literature, public databases). Pipeline development (VCF/PLINK data handling, variant annotation using tools such as Ensembl VEP or ANNOVAR). Basic statistical analyses (e.g., indices, QC checks). Prototype report/dashboard development (HTML/PDF/Streamlit). Requirements Current undergraduate / postgraduate student in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Human Genetics, Biomedical Engineering, Data Science, or related fields. Familiarity with genome databases (Ensembl, NCBI Gene/ClinVar/dbSNP, GWAS Catalog). Comfort with Python/R, Linux command line, and version control (Git).
