Job Title: Research Associate – Finance Location: Kolkata, West Bengal Job Type: Full-time Experience: 1–3 years (Freshers with strong academic background in finance may also apply) Industry: Financial Services / Investment Advisory / Wealth Management / Capital Markets Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Research Associate to support our finance team in conducting investment research, financial analysis, and market intelligence. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in finance and a passion for tracking market trends, financial instruments, and economic indicators. Key Responsibilities: Conduct fundamental and technical research on equities, mutual funds, debt instruments, and other financial products. Analyse macroeconomic trends, sectoral developments, and company financials to generate insights and recommendations. Assist in the preparation of research reports, investment notes, presentations, and market updates. Track financial news, regulatory changes (SEBI, RBI, etc.), and market movements relevant to client portfolios. Support portfolio managers and analysts with timely data and research inputs. Use financial databases for data extraction and analysis. Maintain organized and up-to-date research documentation and databases. Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, or related discipline (CFA/CA/MBA preferred). Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint; knowledge of financial tools like Bloomberg, Refinitiv, or similar platforms is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team. A keen interest in financial markets, investments, and wealth management. Preferred Qualifications: Internship or work experience in investment research, equity analysis, or wealth advisory. Certifications such as NISM, CFA Level 1, or equivalent.
