Job Description

Technical Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement the overall technical strategy for solar projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and industry best practices. Project Management: Oversee the technical aspects of solar projects from conception to completion, including design, procurement, construction, and commissioning. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor engineering and technology teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and safety of all technical aspects of projects, adhering to relevant standards and regulations. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal teams, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution. Budget and Schedule Management: Monitor project budgets and schedules, identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues. Technical Expertise: Provide expert technical guidance on solar PV systems, components, and related technologies. Innovation and Improvement: Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement in solar technology and project delivery. Required Skills and Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, or related field). Experience: Significant experience in solar PV system design, engineering, and project management. Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of solar PV technology, electrical systems, grid integration, and relevant standards. Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage complex projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management. Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Examples of Specific Tasks: Conducting site assessments and feasibility studies for solar projects. Developing technical specifications and drawings for solar systems. Managing the procurement of solar panels, inverters, and other components. Overseeing the installation and commissioning of solar systems. Troubleshooting technical issues and ensuring the optimal performance of solar systems. Staying up-to-date on the latest advancements in solar technology.
