Job Description

Maharana Pratap Gropup of Institutions is seeking a talented and creative Content Writer / Content Strategist to join our dynamic team at Maharana Pratap Group of Institutions. This individual will be responsible for developing, planning, and executing content strategies that drive engagement, increase awareness, and enhance the brand identity of MPGI.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling, a solid understanding of digital content strategies, and the ability to translate educational and institutional goals into engaging content for a diverse audience. You will work closely with the marketing and communications team to ensure that MPGI’s voice is clear, consistent, and aligned with its strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Content Strategy Development:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to devise a comprehensive content strategy aligned with MPGI’s goals and target audiences.
  • Conduct content audits, competitor analysis, and audience research to create effective content strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with educational trends, best practices in content marketing, and new technologies to optimize MPGI’s content efforts.

2. Content Creation:

  • Write high-quality, original content for various platforms including websites, blogs, social media, newsletters, brochures, and press releases.
  • Develop compelling content for student recruitment campaigns, academic programs, faculty achievements, events, and more.
  • Ensure content is tailored to different platforms, balancing creativity with clarity, and meeting SEO best practices.

3. Brand Storytelling:

  • Articulate MPGI’s mission, vision, and unique value propositions in a compelling way through storytelling.
  • Highlight key success stories, student and faculty achievements, and institutional milestones.

4. Content Planning & Calendar Management:

  • Develop and manage an editorial calendar for consistent content production and publication.
  • Plan content distribution strategies to maximize reach and engagement on various digital channels.

5. SEO & Digital Marketing:

  • Implement SEO best practices to optimize content for search engines and enhance discoverability.
  • Work with the digital marketing team to craft SEO-friendly content that drives organic traffic to MPGI’s website and social media channels.

6. Collaboration & Coordination:

  • Coordinate with subject matter experts, faculty, and administrative staff to gather information for content.
  • Work closely with graphic designers, photographers, and other content creators to produce multimedia content.
  • Provide guidance to junior content writers and interns on content creation best practices.

7. Analytics & Reporting:

  • Monitor content performance using analytics tools and provide reports on engagement metrics (such as traffic, conversion rates, social media reach, etc.).
  • Use insights to continuously improve content quality and drive greater results.

8. Brand Consistency:

  • Ensure all content aligns with MPGI’s brand guidelines, tone of voice, and values.
  • Maintain a consistent and professional image across all content outputs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in content writing or content strategy, preferably in the education sector.
  • Strong portfolio of written work demonstrating a variety of content types (articles, blogs, web copy, etc.).
  • Experience with SEO tools (Google Analytics, SEMrush, etc.) and digital content strategies.

Skills:

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to adapt writing style to different target audiences (students, faculty, parents, etc.).
  • Creative thinking with a knack for storytelling and making educational content engaging.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and basic HTML.

Personal Attributes:

  • Strong attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy in writing and editing.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Desired Skills (Optional):

  • Familiarity with multimedia content creation (e.g., video scripting, podcasting, etc.).
  • Knowledge of educational trends and issues in higher education.
  • Experience in managing social media platforms and online communities.
  • Understanding of branding and positioning within the educational sector.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
