.We are seeking an experienced Sr. Software Engineer to design and develop core components of a modern financial software platform. This role involves building and enhancing scalable, cloud-based systems using a microservices architecture, while collaborating closely with product, data science, and business teams. You will mentor junior engineers, lead technical initiatives, and leverage cutting-edge technologies, including Python, React, AWS, containerization, and generative AI, to accelerate software development and improve operational efficiency. Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and maintain core components of enterprise financial software using Python, React, and cloud-based technologies
- Lead technical initiatives and mentor junior engineers, ensuring high-quality development and knowledge sharing
- Collaborate with product, engineering, data science, and business stakeholders to deliver solutions aligned with business needs
- Decompose product features into engineering stories and implement robust solutions in a microservices architecture
- Utilize generative AI and other advanced tools to accelerate development, testing, and documentation
- Implement best practices for code quality, testing, monitoring, and deployment across distributed applications
- Contribute to the design and rollout of containerized applications using Docker, EC2, and AWS services
- Ensure software security, scalability, and reliability in a cloud-native environment
Requirements
- 6+ years of enterprise software development experience, including technical leadership and mentorship
- Strong proficiency in Python; additional experience in Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript is a plus
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, DynamoDB) and ORM tools like SQLAlchemy
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, microservices architectures, and distributed applications
- Experience with application containerization, Docker, and cloud deployment practices
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and secure software development
- Demonstrated ability to review code, ensure quality, and improve software processes
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across cross-functional teams
- Experience with generative AI frameworks, including prompt development and automation, is desirable
- Must reside in India and be able to overlap working hours with Eastern Time (minimum 9am-1pm ET)
