Release Train Engineer (RTE)

Location: Pune (Onsite only, no remote/online option)

Contract Duration: 5–6 months (extendable up to 2 years)

Experience: Minimum 10 years overall, with 1+ year as RTE

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) to lead and facilitate Agile Release Trains (ARTs) for a global setup. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in SAFe practices, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to coach Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and teams to maximize value delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the chief scrum master for the ART, ensuring effective execution and alignment with business objectives.

Facilitate PI Planning, ART events, and ceremonies across globally distributed teams.

Coach Product Owners and Scrum Masters on agile practices, metrics, and delivery improvements.

Enable cross-team collaboration, managing dependencies and risks.

Drive continuous improvement across ARTs, fostering a culture of agility and transparency.

Partner with leadership to ensure alignment of strategy, execution, and delivery.

Work closely with DevOps teams for integration of agile and DevOps practices.

Must-Have Skills

10+ years of overall experience, with at least 1+ year as an RTE.

Proven track record in managing global ARTs.

Strong experience in coaching POs and SMs.

Exposure to DevOps practices and tools.

Excellent facilitation, leadership, and communication skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) certification.

Hands-on ART launch experience.
