Release Manager

As a Release Process & Quality Management Lead, your role will involve overseeing the entire release process while maintaining a high standard of quality. You will be responsible for effectively communicating release plans to all stakeholders involved and measuring progress to meet release deadlines efficiently. It will be your duty to ensure that releases meet or exceed expectations in terms of functionality and performance, strategically prioritize tasks and activities for optimal release outcomes, and take ownership of defining, communicating, and executing the release strategy. You must manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders throughout the release cycle, coordinate seamlessly between diverse teams across functions and geographical locations, and lead the planning and execution of release calendars, including readiness and milestone reviews. Identifying, mitigating, and resolving risks that may impact release scope, quality, or timelines, ensuring smooth deployment of deliverables to production, adhering strictly to configuration management processes and best practices, managing the execution of production regression/sanity tests, overseeing PROD mobile app submission and maintenance processes, efficiently managing the capacity and resources of the release team, providing backup support for the Software Quality Management (SQM) Lead when necessary, and defining comprehensive test strategies and plans to ensure thorough testing coverage are also key responsibilities. Qualifications required for this role include ideally 5+ years of experience in a lead role, preferably working in a mobile and cloud-based eco-system, ability to drive pipeline automation and deployment, excellent communication skills (verbal and written), ability to handle configuration management, 2 to 6 years of experience in using project or release management tools, an expert understanding of the software development lifecycle, excellent analytical skills, and structured thinking.
