Regional Strategic Marketing Manager, Lubrizol Life Science
This high visibility leader will develop and drive the execution of the regional marketing strategy for Lubrizol Life Science– a dynamic, innovative and consumer focused business.
Responsibilities
The Regional Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing & executing the regional growth strategy for Beauty, Home, Pharma & Nutra aligned with the global strategy for each market segment:
- Establish a strong connection/relationship with the Global LLS business, marketing and technical teams, and align the global and regional strategies that have been developed to date.
- Help coordinating and executing voice of the customer interviews and pipeline previews to strategic customers
- Identify gaps in the regional portfolio and activate regional innovation initiatives that will help winning on the market place
- Work closely with the global and regional stakeholders to ensure alignment and seamless execution.
- Provide leadership to regional sales, marketing, and technical teams to execute key growth initiatives & projects
- Report on a monthly basis on KPIs for the regional strategic initiatives and new product sales in the region.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of current market trends leading to product positioning and value propositions we can offer to drive profitable business growth.
- Interface across functions to facilitate and lead business initiatives that result in differentiating Lubrizol as a supplier in the Beauty, Home, Pharma and Nutra segments
- Coordinate with the MarCom team to assure well planned execution and activation at regional level of the planned init
Essential Job Functions
As Regional Strategic Marketing Manager, you will:
- Develop and implement the regional marketing strategy with a sense of urgency to achieve our desired target market position.
- Develop a solid understanding of unmet needs in the regional market for each of the segments, uncovering market-specific product gaps and customer needs to help influence the global innovation roadmap.
- Track regional trends and consumer preferences to build a complete understanding of the regional brands’ ecosystem and potential value creation initiatives that can be activated.
- Identify new product/formula/concept development and innovation needs and manage the of appropriate innovation projects in the region, following corporate processes such as Stage & Gate
- Drive new business development and position Lubrizol as a differentiated and leading supplier in focused sectors. Develop growth plans by connecting customer needs with Lubrizol core technologies.
- Propose and implement new applications for existing portfolio based on regional consumer insights
- Partner with Regional Applications team and Sales team to ensure quality pipeline and execution of regional projects throughout the entire process
- Keep close contact with the industry, stay abreast of trends, maintain critical external relationships
- Collaborate with Product Management team on regional launch price strategy to ensure financial and growth targets are achieved
- Lead regional new product/concepts launches by defining and executing direction on positioning, pricing and placement to ensure market acceptance.
- Direct, support and/or develop promotional activities, sales tools, advertising, customer presentations, trade shows and conferences.
- Plan, execute and oversee regional digital marketing, including marketing database, email, and display advertising campaigns, being responsible for the regional lead management process.
- Measure and report performance of marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).
Skills, Qualifications, Experience, Special Physical Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, chemistry or pharmaceutical.
- 10 years of marketing and/or business development experience in B2B field
- Experience in the personal care or pharmaceutical industries.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix, multi-national organization.
- Commercial development acumen including value chain analysis, customer needs analysis, value proposition.
- Creative marketing skills/capabilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and team facilitating skills in a cross-functional environment.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills in order to drive results through cross functional environments.
- Expected travel approximately 30%.
- MBA with marketing focus or PhD in related subjects are considered a plus.
