Regional Service & Support Engineer – SCADA / Solar Projects

About Us:

iPLON India Pvt Ltd is a leading solution provider in renewable energy automation, specializing in SCADA systems, power plant performance management, and intelligent energy analytics for solar, hybrid, and grid-connected plants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure, test, and commission SCADA systems (IoT/PLC) as per plant and project needs
• Design & implement custom HMI dashboards, alerts, data logs, and plant performance reports
• Perform remote and on-site troubleshooting for SCADA/automation issues (client-facing support)
• Handle FAT/SAT commissioning, prepare project documentation, and assist in client handover
• Provide post-commissioning and AMC support through ticket resolution, field visits, and preventive maintenance
• Travel to project sites based on operational needs (across India) – including remote solar/hybrid locations
• Coordinate with engineering, service, and documentation teams to close technical issues efficiently

Must-Have Technical Skills:

• Experience: 2 to 8 years in SCADA, Industrial Automation, or Energy Monitoring Systems (preferably solar/hybrid)
• Protocols: Modbus RTU/TCP, OPC UA, MQTT (must)
• Devices: PLCs, RTUs, Smart Meters, Gateways
• Operating Systems: Linux (mandatory), Windows
• Tools: Jira (ticketing), Git (versioning), SSH/Command Line, Shell scripting (advantage)

• Strong problem-solving mindset and analytical thinking
• Good communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams
• Willingness to travel and work independently at field sites
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and operational pressure
• Positive, hands-on attitude with high ownership for project success

Educational Qualification:

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech /M.E / M.tech in:

• Electrical Engineering
• Electronics & Communication
• Instrumentation & Control
• Industrial Automation

Salary Structure:

• Salary will be fixed based on:
• Technical evaluation (interview)
• Years of experience
• Relevant skills (Linux, SCADA, field experience, solar project execution)
• Operational adaptability (field readiness, AMC handling, remote diagnosis)

Work Location & Travel Requirements:

• Candidates can be based in Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Rajasthan, or Chennai
• Work-from-home flexibility is available based on the candidate's region and project status
• Site visits and travel to project locations across India are mandatory as per operational needs
• Candidates based in Chennai are required to attend office on working days when not traveling
• Must be willing to travel on short notice for commissioning, AMC support, or technical troubleshooting

Note:

• This is a field operation-oriented role
• Candidate must be open to frequent travel and on-site commissioning
• Experience with solar hybrid/SCADA systems is highly desirable
• Career growth path includes leadership in technical support or SCADA project execution team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
