Job Description

A Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for overseeing the sales operations within a specific geographic region. Their primary goal is to drive sales growth, manage a team of sales representatives, and develop strategies to increase market share. Below are the key roles and responsibilities of an RSM:

1. Sales Strategy & Target Achievement

  • Develop and implement regional sales plans to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Set sales goals and objectives for the region and ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Monitor sales performance and analyze trends to identify growth opportunities.

2. Team Management & Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and mentor sales representatives and other sales team members.
  • Motivate and guide the sales team to enhance performance and achieve targets.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to improve team efficiency.

3. Market Analysis & Business Development

  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs, competitor strategies, and emerging trends.
  • Expand the company’s presence within the region by identifying new business opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key clients, distributors, and business partners.

4. Customer Relationship Management

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and providing solutions.
  • Work with the sales team to maintain long-term relationships with clients.
  • Gather customer feedback to improve products and services.

5. Sales Operations & Reporting

  • Track and analyze sales data to measure performance and make data-driven decisions.
  • Prepare regular reports on regional sales performance for senior management.
  • Manage budgets and forecast sales revenue for the region.

6. Coordination with Other Departments

  • Work closely with marketing, product development, and supply chain teams to align sales efforts.
  • Ensure smooth communication between sales teams and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with finance teams on pricing strategies and revenue planning.

7. Compliance & Policy Adherence

  • Ensure the sales team follows company policies, legal guidelines, and ethical sales practices.
  • Monitor adherence to industry regulations and compliance standards.
  • Address any issues related to contracts, negotiations, or policy violations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month

Experience:

  • Field sales: 5 years (Preferred)
  • FMCG: 5 years (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

  • 100% (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
