Job Description

Role Overview:

PWC Projects, Railway Supply Channels, CSD (Canteen Stores Department), CPC (Central Police Canteen)

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth

  • Develop and execute regional sales plans aligned with company objectives.
  • Achieve primary & secondary sales targets across General Trade, Modern Trade & Institutional channels.
  • Identify highpotential markets and drive numeric & weighted distribution expansion.

2. Institutional Business Management (PWC, Railways, CSD, CPC)

  • Manage the entire institutional sales vertical including

    PWC Projects

    ,

    Indian Railways (IRCTC vendors, pantry service contractors, station catering)

    ,

    CSD Depots

    , and

    CPC canteens

    .
  • Coordinate with government procurement departments and institutional partners for timely order processing and billing.
  • Ensure product listings, compliance documentation, pricing updates & supply chain support for all institutional accounts.
  • Monitor sales performance and drive growth through promotional plans and relationship management.

3. Channel & Distributor Management

  • Appoint, train, and manage distributors, carry-and-forward agents, and stockists for smooth supply chain operations.
  • Review distributor ROI, inventory levels, claims, credit hygiene, and adherence to company policies.
  • Collaborate with field teams to ensure market penetration and availability as per The standards.

4. Team Leadership & Field Operations

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate ASMs, SOs, and field sales teams to drive execution excellence.
  • Conduct regular market visits, joint working, route planning, and beat optimization.
  • Evaluate team performance, identify gaps, and implement training interventions.

5. Trade Marketing & Market Execution

  • Plan and execute visibility, merchandising, and promotion activities through trade marketing.
  • Ensure flawless execution of schemes, new product launches, and marketing campaigns.
  • Track competitor activities, pricing trends, and market intelligence.

6. Operations, Compliance & Coordination

  • Coordinate closely with supply chain, accounts, production, and HO teams for order fulfillment and issue resolution.
  • Ensure adherence to compliance requirements for institutional sales including documentation, tenders, and audits.
  • Manage periodic reporting including sales MIS, forecasting, and business reviews.

Key Skills & Competencies Required:

  • Strong experience in

    Institutional Sales

    (Railways, CSD, CPC, PWC Projects).
  • Good knowledge of

    FMCG sales, distribution management, and market dynamics

    .
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to lead teams and drive high-performance culture.
  • Data-driven decision-making with proficiency in Excel, reporting, and forecasting.
  • Problem-solving ability with strong execution and planning skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduate / MBA preferred.
  • 7–12 years of FMCG sales experience

    , with minimum 3–5 years in a Regional/Area leadership role.
  • Proven track record in handling
