Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic and driven Regional Sales Manager to lead Pegasus’ sales efforts in the Northern region of India. The RSM will aggressively drive sales growth across bookstores, toy stores, baby shops, stationery stores, and school exhibitors. This role requires agility, extensive travel, and strong team-building capabilities. The RSM will build, manage, and mentor a team of sales executives while ensuring customer expansion, secondary sales growth, and visibility across the region.



Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development

  • Deliver aggressive sales growth for the West region in line with national goals.
  • Expand customer base across bookstores, toy stores, baby shops, stationery outlets, and school exhibitors.
  • Open new accounts while nurturing and growing existing customers.
  • Implement regional sales strategies aligned with the National Sales Manager’s directives.
  • Track competitor activity and provide timely market intelligence.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Recruit, lead, and develop a team of sales executives for the region.
  • Set clear sales targets, monitor KPIs, and drive accountability.
  • Motivate and mentor team members to deliver consistent performance.
  • Instill a culture of ownership, agility, and market responsiveness.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and sustain strong relationships with regional key accounts.
  • Ensure regular customer engagement, satisfaction, and issue resolution.
  • Represent Pegasus at regional exhibitions, school events, and trade fairs.

Execution & Operations

  • Travel aggressively across the region to maintain a strong on-ground presence.
  • Drive visibility and display execution in retail and institutional accounts.
  • Monitor secondary sales and ensure correct stock rotation and replenishment.
  • Coordinate with supply chain, warehouse, and marketing for seamless operations.
  • Submit regular sales reports and forecasts to the National Sales Manager.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Business/Marketing (MBA preferred).
  • 7–10 years of sales experience, with 3–4 years in regional leadership.
  • Experience in publishing, toys, FMCG, stationery, or children’s products preferred.

  • Strong people leadership and coaching ability.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • High energy, agility, and willingness to travel extensively.
