Role Objective

Regional Sales Manager (RSM)


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the

    sales operations and distribution network

    for the assigned state.
  • Drive achievement of

    primary, secondary, and tertiary sales

    targets.
  • Appoint, train, and manage distributors and sub-stockists, ensuring strong ROI and on-ground visibility.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor ASMs, TSMs, and Sales Officers to create a robust field force.
  • Plan and execute

    regional sales strategies, trade promotions, and product launch activations.

  • Monitor stock levels, claims, and receivables, ensuring market discipline and business hygiene.
  • Conduct

    market visits

    to understand consumer insights, competition activities, and channel opportunities.
  • Collaborate with marketing, finance, and supply chain teams for seamless execution of state-level plans.
  • Generate timely

    reports, forecasts, and market intelligence

    to support strategic decision-making.


Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • In-depth understanding of FMCG

    channel sales and distributor management.

  • Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Agile, self-motivated, and target-driven professional.


Qualifications & Experience

  • 8–12 years of FMCG experience

    , with

    3–5 years in a regional role.

  • Proven success in leading large distributor networks and managing cross-functional collaboration.
