Regional Sales Manager

The Head – Sales & Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing the sales & marketing strategy for the bakery distribution business. The role requires extensive experience in FMCG / Bakery product distribution, with proven expertise in building and managing distribution networks for packaged bakery items such as Dry Cakes, Rs.5 Cakes, Muffins, Bar Cakes, Breads, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sales Strategy & Execution: Formulate and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share targets.
• Distribution Management: Build, expand, and manage distribution networks, ensuring efficient product placement and market penetration.
• Channel Development: Drive business growth through distributors, wholesalers, retail chains, modern trade, and institutional clients.
• Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and lead the sales & marketing team to deliver performance-driven results.
• Market Expansion: Identify new territories, cities, and markets to expand the bakery product footprint.
• Brand & Trade Marketing: Develop and implement trade marketing activities, consumer promotions, and campaigns to enhance visibility and product recall.
• Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key accounts.
• Market Intelligence: Track competitors, analyze market trends, and suggest actionable insights for growth.
• P&L Responsibility: Manage sales budgets, pricing strategies, and profitability of the distribution business.

Key Requirements:

• Education: Graduate / MBA in Sales & Marketing (preferred).
• Experience: Minimum 12+ years of experience in FMCG / Bakery distribution sales & marketing, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record in driving distribution-led growth for bakery products like Dry Cakes, Rs.5 Cakes, Muffins, Bar Cakes, and Breads.
• Strong network of distributors, wholesalers, and retail trade connections in bakery/FMCG segment.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities.
