Job Description

Position: Regional Sales Manager (RSM)

Location: Ahmedabad

Industry: Ayurveda, Pharmaceuticals, Herbal, and Natural Healthcare Products

Reports To: National Sales Manager / Zonal Sales Head

Job Summary:

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will be responsible for driving sales, expanding market presence,

and achieving revenue targets for Ayurvedic products in the assigned region. The role involves

managing a team of Area Sales Managers (ASMs) and Sales Executives, developing strategic plans,

and strengthening relationships with distributors, retailers, and healthcare practitioners.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Strategy & Business Development

 Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve regional sales targets.

 Identify new business opportunities and market trends in Ayurveda and herbal products.

 Drive primary and secondary sales through distributors, stockists, and retailers.

 Expand the company’s presence in pharmacies, Ayurvedic clinics, hospitals, wellness centers,

and e-commerce platforms.

2. Team Leadership & Management

 Recruit, train, and manage a team of ASMs and Sales Executives.

 Monitor and review the performance of the sales team and provide necessary coaching.

 Conduct regular sales meetings and training sessions on Ayurvedic product knowledge.

3. Distribution & Channel Management

 Strengthen relationships with distributors and stockists to ensure smooth product

availability.

 Appoint new channel partners to enhance market reach.

 Ensure proper inventory management and order fulfillment.

4. Market Analysis & Competitor Research

 Conduct market research to understand customer preferences and competitor activities.

 Provide insights and recommendations for pricing, promotions, and new product

development.

 Monitor sales data and generate reports for senior management.

5. Customer Engagement & Brand Promotion

 Work closely with Ayurvedic doctors, pharmacists, and wellness practitioners to increase

product awareness.


 Organize medical conferences, product demonstrations, and promotional events.

 Collaborate with the marketing team to execute brand campaigns and digital initiatives.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

 Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Pharmacy, or a related field.

 10+ years of sales experience in Ayurveda, Pharmaceuticals, Herbal, Pharma, or FMCG

sector.

 Strong leadership and team management skills.

 Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.

 Knowledge of Ayurvedic products, herbs, and formulations is an added advantage.

  •  Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
