Overview:

In-country is a British education management company, launched in 2016, with a team of over sixty people across Delhi, Lahore, and the UK. We manage the South-Asian student recruitment operations for multiple blue-chip international universities, as well as work on creative and exciting projects for a host of others. 

In-country is looking to appoint a Country Officer to work as part of our dedicated team for our client, BIMM University, UK.


You will be representing BIMM University, one of Europe’s largest and most connected creative industry university, with a reputation for excellence in music, film, performing arts, and creative business education. BIMM University consists of four specialist colleges: BIMM Music Institute, Metfilm School, MetStudios and Performers College. With a strong international presence and a track record of attracting talented students from India, BIMM offers a unique and inspiring environment for aspiring creatives. This role is an exciting opportunity for an outgoing individual who wishes to further develop their skills in international marketing and student recruitment. You’ll also be working as part of In-country’s dynamic Delhi team, known for its progressive work culture and outstanding team spirit.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain public status as an employee of In-country India and not as an official representative of BIMM University.
  • Represent BIMM University at education fairs, recruitment events, and school visits, advising prospective applicants on courses, entry requirements, and student life.
  • Engage with prospective enquirers, applicants and offer-holders through calls, emails, campaigns, and events to increase conversion and hit enrolment targets.
  • Support the Country Manager in executing recruitment strategies and nationwide communication plans to achieve student recruitment targets.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with assigned counsellors and agency partners, providing training and updates to promote BIMM opportunities.
  • Oversee data collection from recruitment activities in India and ensure GDPR-compliant storage and transfer.
  • Undertake market research and provide insights to BIMM University’s international team to support recruitment goals.
  • Travel within India as required to attend fairs, visit schools, and meet agents, counsellors, and recruitment partners.


Communication and Liaison

  • Roll out In-Country’s agent and counsellor communications strategy for BIMM University across India.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, universities, agency partners, and other key stakeholders to strengthen recruitment networks.
  • Plan and deliver targeted events and activities for offer-holders, enquirers, and recruitment partners to support conversion.
  • Develop and implement student engagement strategies, including social media campaigns, in coordination with BIMM’s UK team.
  • Share market research insights and feedback from India with BIMM’s International Recruitment Team to support their wider marketing and communications strategy.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent qualification/relevant professional experience).
  • Some exposure to higher education, student recruitment, or related fields (through internships, volunteering, or up to 2 years of work experience) is a plus.
  • Experience working within a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent public speaking skills, with the ability to present to and influence large audiences. 
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities/projects.
  • Data handling skills with the ability to analyse large data sets. This includes the use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Professional attitude with the ability to engage with and establish a good working relationship across all levels, including internal and external stakeholders 
  • Initiative and problem-solving mindset, with good attention to detail.
  • Motivated and comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to undertake extensive travel within India and other potential markets.
