Job Description

  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to meet short-term and long-term workforce requirements across clinical, paramedical, administrative, and support departments
  • Partner with hospital leadership, department heads, and HR management to understand manpower needs, job specifications, and critical skills required
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment cycle including sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, and offer management
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of doctors, nurses, technicians, and support staff to minimize time-to-hire for critical roles
  • Establish relationships with medical colleges, nursing institutes, and training centers to create a steady inflow of talent
  • Ensure recruitment processes comply with hospital policies, statutory requirements, and healthcare regulatory guidelines in India
  • Implement digital recruitment methods, including job portals, social media, and hospital career websites
  • Negotiate employment terms in consultation with HR Head and ensure competitive hiring packages aligned with hospital budgets
  • Train and guide recruitment executives/team members to achieve departmental hiring targets
  • Monitor key hiring metrics such as time-to-fill, quality-of-hire, and new hire retention
  • Coordinate with onboarding and induction teams to ensure smooth integration of new employees
  • Conduct periodic workforce market studies to benchmark compensation, retention strategies, and staffing trends in healthcare

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of recruitment practices in hospital and healthcare sectorFamiliarity with clinical job roles (eg, doctors, nurses, technicians) and non-clinical positions (administration, billing, housekeeping, etc)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure to deliver talent for urgent and specialized roles
  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems, HRIS software, and digital sourcing platforms
  • Analytical mindset to review recruitment data and improve processes

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (MBA/PGDM in HR preferred)
  • 6-10 years of recruitment experience, with at least 34 years in healthcare or hospital sector recruitment
