React/Next.js Front End Software Developer

Software Engineer (1–5 years)

• Full‑time, on‑site in Mumbai

Role Description

As a Software Engineer at Faze, you will join a fast‑growing team and contribute across the entire product lifecycle.

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and build new features
• Maintain and optimize existing web and mobile applications
• Debug issues, write clean, efficient, and well‑tested code
• Contribute innovative ideas to improve performance, scalability, and user experience
• Participate in daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies
• Support CI/CD pipelines and dev‑ops tasks on AWS

Key responsibilities

• Build, maintain and optimize customer-facing UIs using React + Next.js.
• Translate Figma/Design assets into pixel-perfect, responsive interfaces.
• Implement client-side state management, routing, and server-side rendering / static generation where appropriate.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to design APIs and integrate services.
• Write clean, well-tested code and perform code reviews.
• Improve performance, accessibility (a11y) and SEO for web products.
• Triage and fix UI bugs and regressions; participate in sprint planning.

Must-have skills

• Strong practical experience with

  React

  and

  Next.js

  .
• Solid knowledge of

  JavaScript (ES6+)

  , HTML5 and CSS3 (Flexbox/Grid).
• Experience with component libraries and building reusable UI components.
• Familiarity with client-side state management (Context, Redux, Zustand, Recoil or similar).
• Comfortable with Git-based workflows and code reviews.
• Good understanding of web performance, accessibility and responsive design.
• Clear communicator and team player; pragmatic problem solver.

Nice-to-have

• TypeScript experience.
• Experience with testing tools (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress).
• Familiarity with CI/CD for frontends, Vercel or Netlify.
• Experience with design systems and Storybook.
• Prior experience working in product startups / SaaS.

Qualifications & experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience (or bootcamp).
• 0–5 years building production web apps.
