Job Overview:

R & D Electronics Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated Electronics Engineer with a strong academic background in Electronics and a passion for the space and defense sector. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of practical electronics, PCB circuit design, and layout. In addition to technical expertise, the candidate should demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, an ability to work in dynamic environments, and a keen interest in staying updated with the latest industry developments.

Responsibilities:

● Design electronics schematics, PCB layout, and assemble PCBs.

▪ Identify areas of risk for concept designs and develop quick, simple tests to remove/reduce risk.

▪ Build and test prototype designs to assess concept feasibility and remove risk.

▪ Develop and document product definitions based on customer requirements and proof of concept testing.

▪ Work with the development team to clearly define all tasks and tests required to complete product development.

▪ Carry out development work on products as required (hardware, firmware, software, testing).

▪ Record work in project management software.

▪ Deliver tasks within time estimates.

▪ Perform any other related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.

▪ Support documentation processes, including design records, reports, and patent applications.

▪ Adhere to all relevant regulatory and quality standards.

▪ Stay up to date with the latest technologies and methodologies in electronics engineering, applying them as appropriate to projects.

n Take concept ideas and simplify requirements to provide quick proof of concept designs, with an emphasis on electronics design.

Qualifications:

● Bachelor's or higher degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field.

● Strong academic record and a genuine interest in the space or defense sector.

● Proficiency in practical electronics principles and PCB circuit design and layout.

● Experience in fault-finding and logical problem-solving approaches.

● Familiarity with laboratory measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.

● Comfortable working on multiple projects within a fast-paced, changing environment.

● Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively in team settings.

● Experience working within multi-disciplinary development teams in a project-based environment.

Desirable Skills:

* Solid programming skills in languages such as Python, C, or C++.

* Strong understanding of embedded systems and real-time computing environments.

* Experience with sensor data acquisition, fusion, and hardware interfacing.

* Familiarity with serial communication protocols (UART, I2C, SPI, GPIO).

* Good grasp of basic physics, mathematics, and kinematics relevant to targeting and ballistics.

* Knowledge of software testing, debugging, and version control practices.

* Ability to optimize applications for performance and run-time efficiency.

* Exposure to system design methodologies and software requirement specifications.

* Excellent teamwork, communication, and documentation skills.

* Awareness of security, compliance, and safety-critical software practices in defence or aerospace domains.
