Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and technically strong leader to serve as the Head of Radar. This individual will lead our radar sensor product division, owning end-to-end responsibilities including strategy, architecture, design, development, and deployment. The ideal candidate will bring deep radar domain expertise combined with proven leadership in building high-performing teams and driving innovation across radar technologies.

This role reports directly to the President and plays a critical part in shaping the future of our radar offerings for both autonomous and defence platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the radar sensor business unit, including product strategy, roadmaps, and lifecycle execution.
• Develop and maintain technology, product, and supplier roadmaps aligned with long-term business goals.
• Guide product design, development, and field integration including demonstration setups and customer onboarding.
• Oversee internal processes for product testing, deployment, support, and sustainability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering (software, hardware, systems), business, and field teams.
• Mentor and manage a team of engineers, architects, and technical leads across radar functions.
• Engage with customers to capture feedback, identify new features, and influence future product direction.
• Define and track KPIs related to product performance, quality, and return on investment.
• Contribute to tender processes by providing technical and financial inputs as needed.
• Stay abreast of global advancements in radar technologies and apply innovations into product development.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Electronics, Electrical, or related engineering field;
• M.Tech/MS or Ph.D. in Microwaves, Radar, or Signal Processing is strongly preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in radar system development, with at least 5+ years in leadership roles.
• Proven expertise in radar systems including antenna design, microwave TX/RX, signal processing algorithms, and test methodologies.
• Experience developing radar solutions for defence or autonomous vehicle applications.
• Ability to define and track metrics around product quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
• Deep understanding of product management principles, especially in high-tech, high-precision systems.
• Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring cross-functional technical teams.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project execution capabilities.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to align technology with business objectives.

Preferred Background:

• Experience working with organizations such as DRDO, BEL, ISRO, Tata Advanced Systems, Astra Microwave, etc.
• Exposure to tendering processes, product demonstrations, and direct customer interfacing.
• Familiarity with radar technologies such as AESA, MIMO, phased array systems, and modern signal processing methods.
