Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced R&D professional to lead and manage the Research & Development department focused on the development of pharmaceutical excipients and APIs. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in excipient product development, strong leadership skills, and a passion for innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. New Product Development:

• Lead the development of new excipient products such as Microcrystalline Cellulose (MCC), Magnesium Stearate, Sulphates, Carbonates, Magnesium Hydroxide, and other related excipients.
• Development experience in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) will be an added advantage.

1. Project Leadership:

• Oversee critical R&D projects aligned with business goals and ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth technology transfer and scale-up.

1. Customer and Market Understanding:

• Understand customer needs and expectations to guide product development.
• Conduct customer visits, technical discussions, and support product testing.

1. Technical Research & Evaluation:

• Conduct research, design experiments, and evaluate materials, formulations, and manufacturing processes.
• Innovate to improve existing products and develop cost-effective solutions.

1. Documentation & Compliance:

• Maintain comprehensive documentation for all phases of R&D activities in accordance with regulatory guidelines.

1. Team Management:

• Mentor, guide, and manage the R&D team effectively.
• Monitor team performance, KPIs, and ensure departmental objectives are met.

1. Communication & Reporting:

• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, clients, and regulatory bodies.
• Present project updates, data reports, and strategic plans to senior management.

Candidate Profile:

• Deep technical knowledge of pharmaceutical excipient and/or API development.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience in handling customer interactions and product evaluations.
• Ability to drive innovation and manage a team-oriented R&D environment.
