Job Description

Job Title: Quality Manager – MEP

Department: MEP / Quality Assurance & Control

Job Purpose:

To ensure that all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works are executed in compliance with project specifications, international codes, and client quality requirements. The Quality Manager (MEP) oversees the implementation of Quality Management Systems (QMS), conducts inspections, manages audits, and ensures continuous improvement across MEP disciplines.

Key Responsibilities: Quality Planning & Documentation

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Plan (PQP) specific to MEP activities.
  • Review and approve Method Statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and Quality Procedures submitted by subcontractors and vendors.
  • Ensure all MEP materials and equipment meet project specifications and relevant standards.

Quality Control & Assurance

  • Conduct regular site inspections for MEP installations (HVAC, Fire Fighting, Electrical, Plumbing, ELV systems).
  • Monitor and verify inspection activities carried out by QA/QC Engineers and site teams.
  • Ensure all testing and commissioning activities are performed in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Coordinate with consultants and clients for inspection and approvals.

Audits & Compliance

  • Conduct internal quality audits for MEP works and support external audits by clients or third parties.
  • Track non-conformance reports (NCRs), ensure corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) are implemented.
  • Maintain all QA/QC documentation for MEP systems in accordance with ISO and project requirements.

Team Management & Coordination

  • Lead and guide QA/QC Engineers and Inspectors in daily quality activities.
  • Liaise with project management, construction, and procurement teams to ensure quality objectives are met.
  • Coordinate with design and commissioning teams to ensure quality during all project phases.

Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze recurring issues and recommend process improvements.
  • Conduct training and awareness sessions for the project team on quality standards and best practices.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems, international codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, BS, IEC, etc.), and project specifications.
  • Expertise in QA/QC documentation, testing & commissioning, and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and quality management software.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 of experience in MEP quality management within large-scale construction projects (high-rise buildings, hospitals, commercial complexes, etc.).
  • Certification in Quality Management (ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Six Sigma, etc.) is an advantage.
  • Experience in GCC or international projects preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
