About Raptee Energy

Raptee Energy is a full- stack electric motorcycle startup with a very strong technical moat, founded in 2019 by four engineers from Chennai (Ex Tesla, Wipro), working on bringing a no-compromise upgrade motorcycle to an otherwise scooter- only EV market. Raptee is incubated at CIIC & ARAI.

Job Summary

A Quality Management System (QMS) Engineer typically oversees the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality management processes within an organization. Responsibilities often include designing and optimizing QMS procedures, conducting audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

Develop and implement quality strategy, policies, processes, standards and systems.
Maintain the Quality Manuals and quality procedures and ensure contents are appropriate for business.
Organise and manage the plant internal audit system and the corrective action reporting system.
Conduct quality systems audits and assist in training/guidance to other auditors.
Coordinate the review of quality procedures associated with plant continuous improvement initiatives.
Collate quality data for monitoring targrts.
Promote the use of customer preferred techniques for continuous improvement such as Six - Sigma, Poka - Yoka ( Error Proofing), and Measurement System Analysis.
Undertake special projects as required.

Requirements

1-3 years of experience in automobile industry in Quality Management.
Knowledge in IATF16949 and ISO9000
Strong knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA).
Lean Manufacturing knowledge.
Knowledge of quality systems.
Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and communicate quality-related issues.
Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and precision.
Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
