Job Description – QA Lead

Role Purpose:
Ensure end-to-end Food Safety and Quality Assurance aligning plant operations with global, organizational, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure overall product quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee safe preparation, storage, packaging, distribution, and equipment hygiene.
• Implement and monitor food safety systems, risk assessments, preventive controls, and compliance processes.
• Conduct plant inspections, audits, trainings, and drive corrective actions.
• Coordinate with corporate, plants, co-packers, supply chain, raw material QA, and food labs.
• Lead implementation of new food safety/quality initiatives and define QA KPIs.
• Review customer complaints, feedback, and plant QA reports.
• Support continuous improvement, documentation, and capacity building across plants (Pan India).

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of ISO 22000, ISO 9001, HACCP, SQF, FSSC 22000, IFS, AIB, BRC, FAMI-QS, Halal, Kosher, export/quarantine rules.
• PCQI, regulatory interpretation, SPC, data analysis.
• Expertise in food hygiene, microbiology, public health, zoonoses, meat/milk/fish technology, packaging, and environmental hygiene.
• Ability to drive improvement projects (waste, automation, OEE, process capability, supplier development).

Qualification & Experience

• B.V.Sc & AH; M.V.Sc (Veterinary Public Health preferred).
• 15+ years in Food Safety & Quality Assurance, system development, implementation, training, and team leadership.

• Effective communication, leadership, auditing, presentation, risk assessment, preventive controls, regulatory knowledge.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per year
