Quality Engineer

Job Title:

Quality Control Engineer / Quality Inspector

Department:

Quality Control (QC)

Job Purpose:

To ensure that all products meet the required quality standards and specifications by inspecting, testing, and verifying processes and materials during production and before dispatch.

Key Responsibilities:

Incoming Material Inspection:

Inspect and verify the quality of raw materials and bought-out components as per specifications.

Maintain inspection records and coordinate with the purchase department for supplier issues.

In-Process Inspection:

Check dimensions, tolerances, and workmanship during fabrication, machining, and assembly stages.

Monitor and control non-conforming products.

Ensure process parameters and quality standards are followed on the shop floor.

Final Inspection & Testing:

Conduct final inspection of finished products before packing or dispatch.

Verify performance and visual quality of electro-medical / sheet metal components.

Maintain inspection reports and release certificates.

Documentation & Reporting:

Prepare and maintain quality inspection records, test reports, and calibration logs.

Support ISO / QMS documentation and audits.

Report and analyze rejection and rework data to identify improvement areas.

Quality System Implementation:

Support implementation of ISO 9001:2015 standards and quality procedures.

Participate in internal audits and corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).

Work with production and design teams to improve product and process quality.

Tool & Equipment Management:

Ensure proper use, calibration, and maintenance of measuring instruments (vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, etc.).

Required Skills:

Knowledge of quality inspection procedures and standards.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Hands-on experience with measuring instruments and gauges.

Familiarity with ISO/QMS systems and documentation.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Attention to detail and accuracy.

Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, QC report preparation).

Qualification & Experience:

Qualification: ITI / Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical, Production, or related field.

Experience: 2–3 years in Quality Control within a manufacturing / sheet metal / electro-medical equipment industry.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
