Job Description

As a HVAC Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing various HVAC systems, calculating system loads, selecting equipment, and preparing tender BOQs and bill quantities. Your role will involve developing initial HVAC designs, documents, and drawings while also solving complex problems related to HVAC design. You will need to provide technical solutions and guide the team in preparing technical submittals and shop drawings. Additionally, you will be involved in the preparation and guidance for airflow drawings, ducting, RCP, and coordination drawings. Understanding GA drawings of major items such as AHUs, chillers, DX system items, HEPA, risers, diffusers, and grills is essential. In this role, you will generate overall plans, layouts, schematics, and flow diagrams for the concept and implementation phases of projects. You will also prepare BOQs/final quantities as per final drawings for procurement and attend meetings with clients and consultants for approval of technical submittals and drawings. Researching new design ideas or improving existing methods is part of your responsibilities. It is crucial to maintain accurate records of all project drawings and designs and support the sales team with BOQs, layouts, and quantification within the desired timeline. Key skills and knowledge required for this role include being a team leader, self-driven, and responsible. Knowledge of Revit is a plus, along with good interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in using AutoCAD software, thorough knowledge of HVAC theory, basic design of HVAC systems, and basic knowledge of electricity are essential. Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, stakeholders, and vendors are also necessary. To qualify for this position, you should have a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC drafting, proficiency in AutoCAD 2D software and MS Excel, and a minimum of 4 years of experience in designing HVAC systems. This is a full-time position with benefits such as cell phone reimbursement and Provident Fund. The work schedule is during the day shift, and there is a requirement for 50% travel. The work location is in person.,
