As a HVAC Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing various HVAC systems, calculating system loads, selecting equipment, and preparing tender BOQs and bill quantities. You will also be tasked with developing initial HVAC design documents and drawings. Your role will involve solving complex problems related to HVAC design and providing technical solutions to guide the team in preparing technical submittals and shop drawings. Additionally, you will play a key role in the preparation and guidance for airflow drawings, ducting, RCP, and coordination drawings. Understanding GA drawings of major items such as AHUs, chillers, DX system items, HEPA, risers, diffusers, and grills will be essential. You will be responsible for generating overall plans, layouts, schematics, and flow diagrams during the concept and implementation phases of projects. Your duties will also include the preparation of BOQs and final quantities as per final drawings for procurement purposes. You will attend meetings with clients and consultants to seek approval for technical submittals and drawings. Researching new design ideas or improving existing methods will be part of your responsibilities. To excel in this role, you must possess strong leadership skills, be self-driven, and demonstrate a sense of responsibility. Knowledge of Revit is a plus, along with good interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in AutoCAD software is essential, as well as a thorough understanding of HVAC theory, basic HVAC system design, and basic knowledge of electricity. You will be required to maintain accurate records of all project drawings and designs and provide support to the sales team by delivering BOQs, layouts, and quantifications within the desired timeline. A diploma in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC drafting, proficiency in AutoCAD 2D software and MS Excel, and a minimum of 4 years of experience in designing HVAC systems are the educational qualifications and experience required for this role. This is a full-time position that offers benefits such as cell phone reimbursement and provident fund. The work schedule is during the day, and the role requires a willingness to travel up to 50%.
