Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a QA Team Lead, located in Ahmedabad. The QA Team Lead will oversee the QA team, develop and implement test strategies, create and manage test cases, and ensure quality control. The role involves conducting analytical reviews, leading quality assurance processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.The QA Team Lead will also be responsible for mentoring team members and continuously improving QA & Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies aligned with Agile methodologies or other relevant SDLC models.
- Lead the QA team in executing manual and automated testing efforts, including functional, non-functional, performance, security, and scalability testing.
- Stay current with the latest QA tools and technologies, recommending and implementing improvements to testing processes.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within the QA team and cross-functional teams including Development, Product/Project Management, Sales, and Customer Success Management.
- Mentor and guide team members to foster professional growth and improve testing quality.
- Support the integration of CI/CD and BDD frameworks for automating traceability of stories, acceptance criteria, and test cases.
- Create, review, and manage detailed test scenarios and test cases in partnership with business analysts and project managers.
- Conduct exploratory testing, create defect reports, perform root-cause analysis, and manage defect life cycles.
- Develop dashboards and KPIs to measure and report on data quality and testing effectiveness.
- Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects & Skills :
- 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, preferably with IT service experience.
- Strong knowledge of Quality Assurance and Quality Control principles.
- Proven ability to develop and implement test strategies and manage test cases effectively.
- Expertise in manual and automated testing techniques (functional, non-functional, performance, security, scalability).
- Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, JUnit (preferred).
- Proficiency in API testing tools like POSTMAN, Swagger, SOAPUI.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and BDD frameworks for test automation and traceability.
- Strong skills in creating dashboards and KPIs for quality metrics.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and mentoring skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to perform detailed root cause analysis.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in software development or related fields is a plus.
