Job Summary:

Quality Control Officer

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct quality inspections and testing of incoming raw materials (base oils, additives, packaging components).
• Perform in-process quality checks during blending, filling, labeling, and packaging stages.
• Test finished lubricants for key automotive parameters such as viscosity, flash point, pour point, and appearance.
• Ensure packaging integrity (seal checks, label accuracy, cap torque, batch coding).
• Interpret test results and initiate corrective action for non-conforming products or processes.
• Document and maintain detailed inspection reports and QC records.
• Assist in investigations of customer complaints and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure continuous improvement in quality and process efficiency.
• Participate in internal audits and ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949 (if applicable), and company quality systems.
• Train packaging operators on automotive lubricant quality standards and best practices.
• Maintain and calibrate lab equipment regularly as per SOPs.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or related field.

• 2–5 years of quality control experience

• Familiarity with automotive lubricant standards (API, SAE, OEM specs) is a strong advantage.
• Knowledge of laboratory instruments and quality testing procedures for lubricants.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret technical data and production specifications.
• Proficiency in MS Office and experience with QC software or ERP systems is a plus.

Working Conditions:

• Plant-based role requiring regular presence in the production and packaging areas.
• May involve occasional extended hours, shift work, or weekend duties depending on production demands.
