Role Overview and Responsibilities: Dhruva Space is seeking a skilled Avionics QA/QC Engineer to lead quality assurance and control across the lifecycle of satellite hardware and space systems. From procurement to final integration and launch readiness, the role ensures all components meet stringent aerospace standards. The QA/QC Engineer will collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to implement quality frameworks, conduct inspections, and maintain documentation aligned with ECSS, NASA, ISRO, and AS9100D standards contributing directly to mission reliability in a fast-paced Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Inspect incoming materials, EEE components, PCBs, harnesses, mechanical parts, and flight hardware in accordance with IPC, ECSS, and ESA standards. Perform in-process and final inspections during Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AIT) phases of satellite manufacturing. Implement cleanroom protocols and contamination control procedures during spacecraft integration and environmental testing. Maintain detailed inspection reports, defect logs, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and associated quality records. Verify workmanship quality against standards such as IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, and ECSS-Q-ST-70 series. Act as the QA representative during critical environmental tests (TVAC, vibration, EMI/EMC, etc.), witnessing and ensuring proper execution. Develop and manage Quality Management Systems (QMS) in compliance with AS9100D, ISO 9001, and ECSS-Q requirements. Create Quality Assurance Plans (QAP), Inspection Checklists, and Product Assurance Documentation for various spaceflight projects. Participate in design and gate reviews (PDR, CDR, TRR) to ensure adherence to reliability and quality objectives. Support the selection, screening, and derating of EEE components and contribute to their qualification processes. Candidate Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in QA/QC roles within the satellite, aerospace, or defence manufacturing sectors. In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with AS9100D, ECSS-Q, and ISO 9001 quality frameworks. Familiarity with inspection methodologies, cleanroom operations, and high-reliability soldering and assembly standards. Experience using standard inspection tools and interpreting engineering drawings and datasheets. Excellent documentation, analytical thinking, and communication skills. Proactive, collaborative, and detail-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to quality. Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and perform under pressure during mission-critical phases. Willingness to adapt to a dynamic work environment and contribute to continuous process improvements.
